Operational Excellence Manager

Essex | Permanent

Manufacturing

Are you passionate about driving operational performance, reducing waste and creating a culture of continuous improvement?

Our client is a well-established manufacturing business with ambitious plans for growth and operational excellence. They are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to lead site-wide improvement initiatives, optimise manufacturing performance and embed a culture of sustainable continuous improvement across the operation.

Working closely with senior leadership, engineering, quality and production teams, you will act as the catalyst for operational change, identifying opportunities to improve productivity, increase efficiency and reduce costs whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

The Opportunity

This is a highly visible role where you'll have genuine influence over site performance. You'll be responsible for driving improvements across manufacturing processes, equipment effectiveness, labour utilisation and material yields, whilst coaching teams to adopt Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills with the ability to engage people at every level of the business, ensuring improvement initiatives deliver measurable and sustainable results.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
