Compensation: £80,000 – £105,000 per year + Bonus & Benefits
About the Role
Our client, a prominent global online delivery and platform business, is seeking an Operational Governance Lead in London. In this vital role, you will establish and oversee the operational risk, compliance frameworks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality assurance governance across UK and European delivery and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, roll out, and govern operational risk management frameworks and standard operating procedures across regional logistics hubs.
- Conduct systematic operational audits, gap assessments, and control evaluations to identify procedural vulnerabilities and compliance risks.
- Partner with Logistics, Customer Operations, and Legal to ensure operational alignment with statutory labor, health & safety, and licensing mandates.
- Develop real-time governance scorecards, incident tracking mechanisms, and executive operational reporting dashboards.
- Lead root-cause analysis for high-severity operational incidents and drive cross-functional corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).
- Implement robust business continuity and disaster recovery protocols for regional fulfillment and courier networks.
- Facilitate operational risk steering committees with senior operations directors and market general managers.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of operational governance, operational risk management, internal audit, or quality assurance experience in tech, logistics, or transport.
- Strong knowledge of operational governance methodologies (e.g., COSO, ISO standards, Six Sigma, Lean).
- Demonstrated experience designing internal controls and standardizing processes in high-velocity operating environments.
- Excellent analytical capability with strong experience interpreting complex operational datasets and incident reports.
- Exceptional leadership, stakeholder negotiation, and cross-functional project management skills.
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., CRMA, CIA, Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
