Operational Health Records Administration Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated leader to join NHS Fife as an Operational Health Records Administration Manager, providing leadership and operational management for key 24/7 Health Records Admin services across NHS Fife, including Emergency Department Reception, Minor Injuries Unit Reception, Bed Bureau and NHS Fife Switchboard Services.
With responsibility for approximately 70 staff supporting critical front-line services across NHS Fife, this role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious leader to influence service delivery, drive continuous improvement and support the ongoing digital transformation of the Health Records service.
The Role
Reporting to the Divisional Head of Health Records, you will be responsible for leading and developing a large multidisciplinary workforce across multiple sites, ensuring services are safe, effective, resilient and patient-centred.
You Will
- Lead and develop a large multidisciplinary workforce across multiple sites.
- Ensure the resilience and continuity of critical 24/7 services.
- Manage workforce planning, recruitment, performance management and staff development initiatives.
- Lead service improvement, change management and quality initiatives.
- Develop and maintain effective business continuity and major incident arrangements.
- Work closely with clinical, operational and senior management colleagues to support organisational objectives and improve patient outcomes.
- Use performance information and data intelligence to drive service improvement and support decision-making.
About You
We are looking for an effective and supportive leader who can inspire teams, manage operational pressures and drive continuous improvement within a complex healthcare environment.
You Will Have
- Significant senior management experience within Health Records, Information Management, Patient Administration or a related healthcare environment.
- Experience of managing large teams and operational services across multiple locations with the ability to maintain service continuity and workforce resilience within a complex 24/7 operational environment.
- Experience of workforce planning, employee relations, service improvement and change management.
- Strong leadership, communication, influencing and decision-making skills.
- The ability to lead services through transformation whilst maintaining high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications
- You will be educated to degree level or possess equivalent knowledge and experience gained within a Health Records or healthcare management environment.
- A recognised Health Records, Information Management or Leadership qualification is desirable.
Assessment Process
Shortlisted Candidates Will Be Required To
- Deliver a short presentation on a pre-issued topic.
- Participate in a competency and values-based interview.
