Job Opportunity: Operational Manager Positions in Emergency Division

We welcome applicants to join the Emergency Division as an Operational Manager working across SWFT and GEH.

Following a restructure, we have four posts:

  • Warwickshire wide Operational Manager in Frailty
  • SWFT Operational Manager - Long Term Conditions
  • GEH Operational Manager - Criteria to Reside
  • SWFT Operational Manager - Criteria to Reside (Fixed Term)

Role Overview

The Operations Manager will support and assist in developing the strategic direction for services within their portfolio, working with the General Manager and/or the Directorate Manager to influence the strategic direction for the directorate to deliver safe and effective patient services.

Responsibilities

  • Support and assist in developing the strategic direction for services within their portfolio.
  • Manage the day to day operations of the services within their portfolio.
  • Develop business plans in line with performance frameworks to meet the constitutional standards.
  • Contribute and support the governance structures within the Directorate to cover health and safety and risk management.
  • Lead and support job planning for services within the portfolio.
  • Provide visible leadership across the services within their portfolio.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for any deviation to plan, quality measure, or financial key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • May be required to deputise as needed.
  • Required to be included in the Trust’s on-call management rota.
  • May be asked to work at other sites within the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust and South Warwickshire University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust or one of the associated community locations as required.
