Operational Manager
£28,000 to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Plus On-Call Retainer Payments

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Operational Manager to support the day-to-day leadership of our services and help us continue our journey of growth, quality improvement and regulatory excellence.
This is a hands-on operational role where no two days are the same. You will work closely with our Operational Director and Registered Manager, supporting service delivery, workforce management, quality assurance, compliance, recruitment and service development.

What You'll Be Doing
As Operational Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our services are safe, effective and responsive. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the operational management of community care services
- Leading recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning activities
- Managing and supporting the Rota Coordinator and wider operational teams
- Monitoring service quality, compliance and governance activity
- Supporting safeguarding investigations and risk management processes
- Mobilising new care packages and supporting business growth
- Building positive relationships with commissioners, professionals and partner organisations
- Supporting budget monitoring and operational performance
- Helping maintain CQC compliance and inspection readiness across services

What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is organised, confident and solutions-focused. You will ideally have:
Essential Skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience coordinating teams, services or operational activity
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and reporting systems
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- A commitment to high-quality, person-centred care
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional accountability
Desirable Experience
- Experience within health, social care, community care or regulated services
- Knowledge of CQC standards and governance requirements
- Experience of workforce planning, scheduling or recruitment
- Line management or supervisory experience
- Experience working with commissioners, healthcare professionals or local authorities

Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am to 4:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am to 3:30pm
Participation in the on-call rota is required and attracts an additional retainer payment.
