Band 7 | Permanent | Full Time / Part Time / Job Share
Sussex Education Centre | Hove (Hybrid Working Available)
£49,387 – £56,515 per annum (pro rata)

Play a key role in shaping the future of medical education by leading the operational delivery of high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate training programmes across Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

The role
As Operational Medical Education Manager, you'll provide operational leadership for the Trust's Medical Education function, ensuring education programmes are delivered to the highest standards while meeting GMC, HEKSS and Brighton & Sussex Medical School requirements.

You'll:
- Oversee the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate medical education programmes
- Lead complex projects, service improvements and operational initiatives
- Work closely with senior medical education leaders and external education partners
- Support compliance, governance and quality assurance across medical education
- Deputise for the Strategic Medical Education Manager when required
- Help create an outstanding learning environment for resident doctors and medical students
About the team
The Medical Education Department is responsible for the strategic development, operational management and delivery of high-quality medical education across Sussex Partnership.
The team works in partnership with:
- General Medical Council (GMC)
- Health Education Kent, Surrey & Sussex (HEKSS)
- Brighton & Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
- Senior medical leaders across the Trust
What we're looking for
We're seeking someone who has:

- Experience working within medical education
- Strategic and operational management experience
- Experience leading complex projects and managing risk
- Strong organisational, analytical and stakeholder management skills
- A relevant qualification (minimum diploma level or equivalent experience)
- The ability to work autonomously while influencing across a wide range of teams
