An exciting position has become available within our Andover Supply Centre Team. This role will be an integral member of the Andover Supply Centre (ASC) Operational team and will be a trusted advisor for ASC and support the delivery and implementation of key people strategies.

The role is responsible for working with the ASC team to deliver the outcomes of the culture change programme, Owning Our Future. This will include managing activities to increase engagement, upskill the teams and improve labour efficiency through managing absence and turnover.

Key Responsibilities

  • An integral member of the Operational team and key people contact for the day-to-day HR agenda for ASC.
  • Produce relevant HR metrics on an agreed timescale, to ensure managers have the right information to make informed decisions on employee practices.
  • Work with managers to actively manage absence within ASC. Ensure compliance with the agreed absence management process and work with HRSS and the HRM to create strategies to proactively manage long term absence.
  • Lead the Engage and GPTW action plans to support ASC managers in creating an environment that is a great place to work. Understand the areas for improvement and bring new ideas to the table that challenge how we currently work.
  • Support manager in embedding Thrive with their teams and continuously listen to all employees to understand what is needed to bring Thrive alive.
  • Support recruitment and induction activities within ASC and work with HRSS on new vacancies.
  • Support employment relations cases up to investigation level. Provide guidance and advice to managers to ensure best practice.
  • Be an advocate for the culture change programme, 'People, Passion, Profit', to ensure all members of ASC understand the change and embed the new behaviours.
  • Be a key member of the Skills Development project to identify and develop the technical skills needed for the future and support the implementation of a new learning platform.
  • Be an advocate for the Diversity & Inclusion agenda for ASC to build an environment of inclusion and diversity.
  • Be an advocate for Beyond Safety programme and to ensure TSC is a safe place to work.
  • Be a key member of the 'One Site' team to identify synergies and develop collaborative working practices between Poland and ASC.
  • Support the HRM and HRD on activities to ensure that the TSC and ASC organisation structure and organisation culture is fit for purpose.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • A developing, credible all-rounder, comfortable with a diverse workload. A positive and tenacious attitude with a track record of delivering tangible results.
  • Must be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Be able to challenge the status quo and continuously look for new ways. Able to influence key stakeholders and communicate appropriately across all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing environment on a day-to-day basis.
  • Track record of balancing different agendas in an evolving, fast-paced business unit.
  • Evidence of delivering results in a challenging, busy environment.
  • Evidence of developing and coaching individuals either formally or informally.
  • Able to be a credible member of the operational team with a natural curiosity and interest in operations. Have a tenacious approach to see project through.
  • Comfortable working with and analysing data to support meaningful discussions.
  • Able to translate projects into workable plans.
  • Able to challenge positively and think outside the box.
  • Able to become a trusted advisor to ASC through building effective relationships based on mutual trust and respect.
  • Interested in coaching and developing individuals to deliver at their best.
