Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Lead – Global Asset Management
£110,000-£120,000
Location: London
I am recruiting on behalf of an international asset management business seeking an Operational Resilience Lead to advance its approach to resilience and business continuity.
The position combines practical delivery with the opportunity to influence how the function develops. You will work closely with senior leaders and Boards, with room to take on broader leadership responsibilities and potentially add team resource as the remit expands.
Your remit
You will bring together colleagues across business operations, technology, and control teams to strengthen the organisation’s ability to sustain critical services during disruption. Your work will span framework development, testing, and the identification of weaknesses, turning assessments into tangible improvements across international operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating business impact assessments, continuity planning, and testing, including tabletop exercises at regional and global levels.
- Reviewing important business services, mapping their supporting resources, and assessing impact tolerances, supported by scenario testing and action plans to address vulnerabilities.
- Updating resilience policies, self-assessments, and the frameworks that underpin them.
- Producing meaningful resilience measures and reporting for executive stakeholders, risk committees, and Boards.
- Contributing to incident response, examining continuity and technology-related disruptions, and ensuring underlying causes are understood and corrective actions completed.
- Improving oversight of third-party resilience through due diligence and training for relevant stakeholders.
- Working alongside IT Risk and Information Security colleagues on ICT governance, cyber resilience, and applicable DORA obligations.
- Translating regulatory developments into practical changes and delivering resilience initiatives across the global organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
