Operational Resilience Governance Manager - Contract
Contract: 2 months initially (extension likely)
IR35: Inside
Rate: TBC
Location: 2 days per week in London or Bristol
The Client
A UK specialist retail bank is looking for an experienced Operational Resilience Governance Manager to join its first-line Operational Resilience team. The role sits within the Identify & Prepare pillar and owns governance, oversight, reporting and engagement across the resilience framework.
The Role
- Maintain the UK Operational Resilience policy and framework, working with Group and Second Line teams
- Own templates, artefacts and methodology standards
- Run the UK Operational Resilience Forum and produce MI and reporting that supports decision-making
- Embed resilience-by-design into change, including oversight of high-risk change and its impact on Important Business Services
- Maintain controls, assurance activity, risks and issues, feeding updates into UK risk teams
- Lead horizon scanning, regulatory engagement and information requests
- Represent the bank at industry forums such as UK Finance's Operational Resilience Committee
- Deliver training and awareness sessions across the business, and manage internal Op Res comms
- Line manage a Senior Analyst

- Strong, hands-on operational resilience experience within UK financial services
- Solid working knowledge of the PRA/FCA operational resilience regime, with exposure to DORA
- Experience running governance forums, producing resilience MI and working with Second Line
- Confident stakeholder management across Operations, IT, Risk, Change and senior leadership
