The role is accountable for identifying critical business functions – including those involving Causeway’s products and services – and ensuring they can continue to operate during a disruption. Working closely with the Crisis Management team, the role develops plans to recover from disruptions and return to normal operations as quickly as possible.
Key Responsibilities

- Own the implementation of Causeway’s Technology Resilience framework across critical systems, business processes, and technology.
- Evaluate and assess current resilience status, categorise services based on business criticality, and develop a roadmap to reduce risks, increase uptime, and prevent avoidable outages.
- Work collaboratively with product, engineering, and IT teams, ensuring appropriate resilience is designed into Causeway’s products and services.
- Provide subject matter expertise on continuity and resilience considerations for supplier onboarding processes, ensuring appropriate risk management throughout Causeway’s supply chain.
- Work with product owners and critical process owners to quantify, document, and report on resilience metrics.
- Design scenarios and run tests to verify and validate the effectiveness of continuity and recovery plans.
- Develop and implement improvement plans based on lessons learnt from test scenarios.
- Design and implement resilience reporting and MI, including the identification and escalation of material resilience vulnerabilities.
- Prepare and present resilience reports, lessons learnt from any invocation, and progress updates to the compliance management forum.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement within the IT function by identifying and implementing changes to enhance DR service quality, cost efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including system owners, Head of GRC, and senior management, providing updates on DR performance and other relevant information.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
