Dublin | Hybrid Working

The Role

Reporting into the Risk function, the Operational Resilience Manager will take ownership of the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the Operational Resilience Framework for the Irish ManCo and its delegated operating model.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and continuous improvement of a DORA-aligned Operational Resilience Framework.
  • Establishing and maintaining operational resilience policies, governance structures, and oversight arrangements.
  • Managing resilience requirements across outsourced service providers and third-party relationships.
  • Leading operational incident management processes, escalation procedures, and regulatory reporting.
  • Designing and delivering scenario testing, resilience exercises, and lessons learned reviews across critical business services.
  • Overseeing Business Continuity Planning (BCP), Business Impact Analysis (BIA), and Disaster Recovery testing activities.
  • Producing operational resilience management information, reporting, and insights for senior leadership teams, Executive Committees, and Board Committees.
  • Supporting engagement with regulators and evidencing compliance with Irish and European regulatory expectations.
  • Ensuring operational resilience considerations are embedded into business change initiatives, new operating models, and strategic projects.
  • Working collaboratively with Risk, Compliance, Technology, Operations, and third-party providers to strengthen resilience capabilities across the organisation.

About You

We're looking for an experienced operational resilience professional who combines strong technical expertise with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive meaningful outcomes in a regulated environment.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Significant experience in Operational Resilience, Operational Risk, Business Continuity, or a related discipline within regulated financial services.
  • Strong experience designing, implementing, and embedding Operational Resilience Frameworks aligned to DORA requirements.
  • A thorough understanding of DORA, CP140, CP86, and wider operational resilience regulatory requirements.
  • Experience leading incident management activities, regulatory reporting, and resilience governance forums.
  • Strong knowledge of outsourcing oversight, third-party risk management, and delegated operating models.
  • Experience designing, facilitating, and evaluating resilience testing, scenario exercises, and business continuity simulations.
  • The ability to prepare and present high-quality Board, Committee, and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive continuous improvement.

Royal London Asset Management (RLAM)

RLAM is establishing its Ireland Management Company (ManCo) to support the continued growth of its European business and is seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Manager to play a key role in building and embedding the firm's operational resilience capabilities.

This is an exciting opportunity to join at a pivotal stage of the Irish ManCo journey, helping shape and implement a robust Operational Resilience Framework from the ground up. The successful candidate will work across RLAM, Royal London Group, and key outsourced service providers to ensure the resilience of critical business services while supporting compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), Central Bank of Ireland requirements, and broader European regulatory expectations.
