How You'll Help Us Live Our Purpose
We've been helping our members save for their future and buy their own home since 1875. Join us and you'll play a big role in helping us to put home ownership within reach of more people, generation after generation.
It's a purpose that drives everything we do. And you can play your part too – we're looking for an Information Security and Resilience Business Partner to provide robust oversight and independent challenge across operational resilience, technology resilience and resilience assurance, helping Leeds Building Society protect our members, colleagues and services.
How You'll Make a Difference
In this role, you'll oversee the development, embedding and ongoing effectiveness of our Operational Resilience framework, assessing whether our approach is practical, evidence-based and aligned with regulatory expectations and the needs of the business.
You'll lead thematic and targeted assurance reviews across operational resilience, technology resilience, IT risk and information security. You'll assess the design and effectiveness of controls, test the quality of resilience evidence and translate your findings into clear, meaningful risk reporting for governance forums.
A key part of the role will be providing independent oversight and constructive challenge to first-line teams. You'll evaluate resilience risks, scenarios, testing, remediation plans and risk acceptances, ensuring decisions are well supported and that weaknesses are addressed in a timely and proportionate way.
You'll also oversee technology resilience and third-party resilience activity, including due diligence and information security reviews where needed. By building effective relationships with operational and technology teams, Internal Audit, risk colleagues and wider stakeholders, you'll provide credible assurance while maintaining appropriate independence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
