Key Notes
Across several London garages, you’ll own safety performance, directing risk controls, local governance and improvement interventions. The remit spans workplace health and safety, road risk, driver-safety data, serious-incident investigations, corrective actions, contractor controls and Safety Management System consistency. A NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, IOSH Managing Safely, operational safety experience, road-risk expertise and strong root-cause and leadership-influence skills are required.
What You'll Work On
- Manage workplace and road-risk performance across assigned garages, monitoring safety plans and indicators and escalating material or systemic issues.
- Chair depot safety governance and lead serious-incident investigations, reviewing root causes and the evidence that agreed corrective actions have been completed.
- Advise garage leaders, unions, TfL and external stakeholders on safety matters, coordinating the decisions and actions required across the garages.

What They Are Looking For
Qualification: NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, plus IOSH Managing Safely.
Experience:
- Health-and-safety management in operational or safety-critical settings.
- Demonstrable driver-safety and road-risk performance management.
- Incident investigation and root-cause analysis capability.
- Experience implementing Safety Management Systems at site or operational level.
- Ability to challenge and support operational leaders and external partners.
