Role Overview

Are you an experienced operational leader with a passion for delivering high-quality, safe and effective clinical services? Are you looking for an opportunity to lead service transformation and make a meaningful difference for children, young people and families in a 12 month Secondment role?

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Service Manager to join our Children’s and Young Peoples Directorate as a Band 8a Service Manager for Community Paediatrics, Dietetics and Neonatal services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide visible operational and clinical leadership across a designated service portfolio
  • Lead the planning, management and delivery of high-quality, safe and effective services
  • Support delivery of key performance indicators, operational objectives and clinical outcomes
  • Lead service improvement, transformation and quality improvement initiatives
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure financial sustainability and value for money
  • Provide line management and leadership to multidisciplinary clinical teams
  • Support workforce planning, staff development and performance management
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the Integrated Care System
  • Lead or support complex incident investigations, complaints and HR processes
  • Use data, performance metrics and service intelligence to inform decision-making and service improvement
