Operational Service Manager (Redevelopment Programme)
Are you an experienced operational manager who is passionate about improving healthcare services and delivering meaningful change?
Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Operational Service Manager to join our expanding Redevelopment Programme Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in one of the Trust's most significant strategic programmes, supporting the delivery of major redevelopment, service improvement and clinical transformation initiatives across our hospital sites and wider healthcare system.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience across programme management, service redesign, strategic planning and operational improvement. You will work alongside senior leaders from across the Trust, helping to translate ambitious plans into practical and deliverable solutions that support the future of healthcare in Bedfordshire.

Main Duties of the Job
- Lead and coordinate designated redevelopment, service improvement and transformation workstreams across the Trust.
- Act as a key link between operational services, clinical teams, corporate departments and the Redevelopment Programme Team.
- Support the development of innovative service models and operational solutions that support the Trust's strategic objectives.
- Contribute to the development of business cases, option appraisals, service reviews and programme documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders to support programme delivery.
- Analyse and present complex information to support informed decision-making and programme governance.
- Monitor project progress, risks and dependencies, ensuring appropriate action and escalation where required.
- Prepare reports, presentations and briefing papers for senior leaders, programme boards and governance groups.
- Support continuous improvement and service redesign initiatives that contribute to the successful delivery of the redevelopment programme.

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital services to a growing population of around 700,000 people living across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas across two busy hospital sites in Bedford and Luton. Both hospital sites offer key services such as A&E, Obstetrics-led Maternity and Paediatrics.
