Role Description

The Operational Specialist is a full-time or part-time role, on-site role based in the Greater Glasgow Area. This role is responsible for coordinating daily cleaning operations, monitoring service delivery, and ensuring that work schedules, staffing, and resources are aligned with client requirements. The Operational Specialist will implement performance indicators, support problem resolution, and assist in implementing process improvements across multiple sites.

  • Preparing operational reports
  • Supporting project rollouts
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards

The role also involves supporting sales and account management activities by providing operational insights and contributing to proposals and service reviews.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills to interpret data, monitor performance metrics, and support operational decision-making.
  • Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with clients, site teams, and management, and to prepare clear reports and updates.
  • Experience in operations management to coordinate schedules, allocate resources, and maintain service standards across multiple locations.
  • Project management skills to plan, implement, and review operational initiatives, process changes, and new client start-ups.
  • Sales awareness or experience to support service proposals, contribute to account retention, and identify opportunities for service improvements.
  • Knowledge of facilities services or cleaning industry operations is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing client and operational needs.
  • Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email) and relevant operational tools.
  • Relevant vocational training or a qualification in operations, business, or facilities management is beneficial.
