Operational Support Manager

Exacom Systems Limited - the leading supplier of planning obligations and Building Safety Levy software to Local Authorities across the UK – is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated Operational Support Manager to join its core management team.

The post holder will be responsible for the management of a range of customer focused service areas, including the user support helpline, client onboarding, online software training and demonstrations and the development of the new Exacom Academy initiative.

This is a permanent contract for a full time post of 37 hours per week. The salary band is £50k to £60k per annum, and starting salary will be negotiable depending on skills and experience.

The post will initially be office based at the Exacom offices on the outskirts of Colchester in Essex, but the option of phased hybrid working will potentially be available for the right candidate after a successful introductory period.

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Practical experience of working in a S106/CIL/Planning related role in a Local Authority setting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills
  • Sound general IT skills, including MS Office/365
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as part of a small highly collaborative team
  • Enthusiastic, flexible and customer-focused

Desirable:

  • Degree level education, preferably in a related field (planning, law, business, IT) or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in using Exacom software
  • Experience in delivering training and presentations
  • Interest in, or previous academic/practical experience of, IT and software development
