Our Environment

At HMP Rye Hill, we are dedicated to supporting individuals through rehabilitation, helping them prepare for a positive return to the community. You will be a vital part of this mission, working collaboratively to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for everyone.

The Role

In this essential full-time, permanent position (39 hours per week), you will help coordinate the daily activities that keep our community running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Supporting the safety of the site through attentive monitoring of CCTV and communication networks.
  • Welcoming and assisting visitors, ensuring all safety protocols are followed with care and professionalism.
  • Issuing keys, tallies, and radios, and ensuring security keys are not removed from the Prison.
  • Facilitating the smooth and organized movement of people throughout the facility.
  • Handling telephone enquiries with a helpful and considerate approach.
  • Assisting contractors and visitors with the necessary documentation and safety checks before they enter.
  • Ensuring the Visitors Centre remains a welcoming and secure space for families and guests.
