Join Our Industry-Leading Operational Tax Team and Help Shape the Future of Operational Tax

Operational Tax is one of the fastest-evolving specialist disciplines within financial services. As global reporting obligations continue to expand, so do the opportunities to help organisations navigate complexity, embrace innovation, and stay ahead of regulatory change.

We're building an industry-leading Operational Tax team and are looking for exceptional individuals who want to be part of that journey.

The reality is that there is no such thing as a typical Operational Tax specialist.

What unites us is a shared curiosity, a passion for solving complex problems, and a commitment to delivering outstanding outcomes for clients.

About the Opportunity

We're not recruiting for a single position. We're investing in our future growth and building a team of talented professionals who want to develop into market-leading Operational Tax specialists.

This is a unique opportunity to work across a broad range of activities, including:

  • Advising clients on Operational Tax and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Supporting business development initiatives and client engagement
  • Delivering training sessions, workshops, and thought leadership
  • Analysing and interpreting large, complex datasets
  • Designing and implementing technology-enabled solutions
  • Participating in industry working groups and regulatory discussions
  • Speaking at conferences and industry events
  • Writing articles, publications, and technical guidance
  • Contributing to podcasts and other industry forums

You do not need experience in all of these areas. What matters is your enthusiasm to learn, grow, and contribute.

We can teach Operational Tax.

We cannot teach curiosity, attention to detail, critical thinking, and the drive to succeed.

This is a UK-based hybrid role, offering a combination of remote working and time spent with clients and colleagues as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We offer a competitive market-rate salary, benchmarked against experience, capability, and the value you bring to the team.

Who We're Looking For

We're interested in hearing from talented individuals with at least three years' experience working within a regulated environment, whether that's in Operations, Compliance, Financial Crime Prevention, Technology, Regulatory Reporting, Tax, Risk, Consulting, or a similar function.

More importantly, we're looking for people who are naturally curious and enjoy solving problems. You are likely to thrive here if you're the person others turn to when something doesn't quite add up, enjoy understanding how things work rather than simply following a process, and can balance attention to detail with a broader commercial perspective. You should be comfortable communicating complex ideas to different audiences, enjoy working collaboratively, and have a genuine desire to learn and develop within a specialist field. Above all, we're looking for individuals who take ownership, challenge conventional thinking, and are passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes.

You'll likely thrive in this role if:

  • You're the person people turn to when something doesn't quite add up.
  • You enjoy understanding how processes work rather than simply following them.
  • You like solving complex problems and finding practical solutions.
  • You can communicate technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
  • You pay close attention to detail whilst maintaining a broader strategic perspective.
  • You're naturally inquisitive and enjoy continuous learning.
  • You take ownership of your work and strive for excellence.

What You'll Bring

Whilst previous Operational Tax experience is not essential, we'd be particularly interested in candidates with exposure to regulatory reporting or financial services regulations such as FATCA/CRS, US Qualified Intermediary (QI), DAC7, CESOP, CARF, ISAs, BBSI, or Offshore Interest Reporting.
