Role Overview

This role is all about supporting clients with operational tax matters within the professional services sector. You'll play a key role in helping organisations navigate tax regulations and meet compliance requirements effectively.

Description

  • Provide expert advice on operational tax matters to clients.
  • Assist in managing and delivering tax compliance processes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax returns and related documentation.
  • Support clients in understanding and implementing changes in tax legislation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored tax solutions.
  • Assist with tax audits and resolve any related queries.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in tax operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax regulations and industry developments.

Profile

A successful Operational Tax (FS) Assistant Manager should have:

  • Experience gained within Product or Operational tax from within the financial services
  • Be nearly or part qualified in tax or audit (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CTA, ATT.)
  • Practical experience of dealing with operational taxes within a Financial Services context - candidates with industry or professional services experience.
  • An understanding of financial markets, participants, investors (e.g., banks, brokers, institutional investors, custodians, asset managers, private equity, etc.) and products.
  • Knowledge of at least one of: Withholding Tax, Transaction Tax, Information Reporting
  • Experience working on the delivery of end-to-end projects within a team.
