Salary: £39,152 - £41,771 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week

The Role:

The Repairs and Maintenance Service at Stoke on Trent City Council are looking for an Operational Team Leader to join the team. In this role you will manage a multi disciplinary team to ensure that there is an effective and efficient service delivered by the Repairs and Maintenance Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and motivate a multi disciplinary team to deliver high quality services
  • Monitor team performance, productivity and services standards and address any issues and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure the team is compliant with legislation, policies and procedures
  • Oversee the effective management of vehicles, plant and equipment

About You:

  • Have experience in managing and de4bvloping employees
  • Have detailed knowledge of workplace health and safety
  • Hold a relevant health and safety qualification such as SMSTS/IOSH
  • Have an NVQ3 in a relevant area or equivalent technical and operational knowledge
  • Have problem solving skills and take ownership of work
