Telcam Fire & Security is looking for an experienced, organised and proactive Operations & Admin Assistant to join our growing team.
This is a long-term position for someone who is confident dealing with customers, engineers and day-to-day operational tasks. We are looking for someone who can stay organised in a busy environment, solve problems and take ownership of tasks rather than simply waiting for instructions.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Answering incoming calls and dealing with customer enquiries
- Handling repair, maintenance and service requests
- Booking maintenance visits, call-outs and engineer appointments
- Coordinating with engineers and customers
- Keeping customers updated on scheduled works
- Managing emails and general correspondence
- Updating internal systems, records and job information
- Preparing and updating basic documents and spreadsheets
- Following up outstanding jobs and administrative tasks
- Supporting the operations team with general office administration
- Helping resolve day-to-day issues efficiently and professionally

We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in administration, operations or a similar office-based role
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Confident speaking with customers over the phone
- A strong problem solver who can use their own initiative
- Reliable, professional and punctual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Confident using computers and learning new systems
- Experienced with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Able to communicate clearly with customers, colleagues and engineers
- Looking for a stable, long-term position where they can develop
Experience within fire & security, engineering, maintenance, construction, facilities management or another service-based business would be an advantage, but is not essential.
