Job Description

Primarily provides support for the Opayo Operations teams based in Newcastle. This includes the monitoring and execution of control measures, The completion of escalated cases and other any other reasonable Operations administrative functions. Other duties to include the daily maintenance and smooth running of the Newcastle office. This would typically include the ordering of supplies, general condition of the space, liaising with Facilities Management/site management and any other office focused tasks.

Key accountabilities:

  • Maintaining and enhancing the relationship with key operational stakeholders and using these relationships to drive performance improvement and to respond to on-the-day events.
  • Own the delivery of Operational controls maintaining a high standard in accordance with BLQA criteria.
  • Support Nightshift and CS functions by monitoring and completing escalated cases.
  • Be involved in the awareness and delivery of the BCP for the Opayo Operations.
  • Be the local liaison for the Office visitors, facilities, real estate and security teams
  • Administer site access for colleagues including temporary access passes
  • Management of the office post and correspondence and liaising with onsite building admin personnel.
  • Oversee maintenance of the office, including managing contractors (cleaners/maintenance etc.) and the general good condition of the environment.
  • Manage administration of suppliers via Facilities Management for the office.
  • Point of contact with the business park team, ensuring staff have visibility of facilities and events organised by the business park.
  • Supporting business campaigns and communication – being a point of contact for the marketing team in Newcastle.
  • Managing meeting rooms and associated equipment on site.

Skills & experience required:

  • Flexible, friendly and approachable with a positive approach to problem solving.
  • Technical experience within payments ideally Opayo systems and processes.
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt to situations as they unfold
  • High attention to detail and awareness of brand importance
  • Has the ability to deal with confidential matters with integrity and has a mature approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Someone who builds rapport, is supportive and focussed on delivering the best outcomes.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills: PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Comfortable with technology (Teams, Excel, cloud based software, etc)
  • Desire to learn about and understand the payments industry

Additional information:

The role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
