About the Business

The business was established by its founder shareholders in February 2014. Following the exchange of contracts on 20th December 2016 between RAF’s shareholders and Arbuthnot Latham & Co., Limited (AL), and subsequent regulatory approval, RAF became a wholly owned subsidiary of AL in April 2017.

Renaissance Asset Finance (RAF) provides unregulated fixed term finance to its chosen customer market of small and medium sized enterprises and high net worth individuals. These are generally introduced to RAF via a network of brokers with whom RAF establishes close working relationships. The majority of the assets financed by RAF comprise of higher value private cars, collectors’ cars, purpose built taxis, coaches and other specialist vehicles. RAF also funds the purchase of a range of commercial plant and machinery as well as a limited volume of business critical soft assets. RAF prefers to finance assets that have strong collateral characteristics and identifiable second hand markets.

About the Role

To provide administrative support by processing payouts and managing in life tasks of Block Discounting and Wholesale clients in line with department policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support new facility proposals submitted by Sales by completing various searches for review by Credit.
  • Upkeep of CRM system with accurate client information.
  • Check drawn down request on pre-approved credit facilities are within term, before preparing documentation for payout, fully loading payout on the system before onward submission to Customer Support for 4 eye checks and payment.
  • Complete all tasks relating to in life management for Block Discounting and Wholesale clients. This will include, but is not limited to, checking and emailing monthly interest invoices, emailing monthly balances to clients, monitor and chase for payments, allocating payments received on behalf of Finance and quoting and completing settlements/terminations.
  • Taking responsibility and ownership of queries so that any issues which may result in a delayed payout are communicated within the team and to the client.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of registration of legal charges at Companies House.
  • General duties i.e. monitoring group emails, filing, and answering telephone calls.
  • Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures.

Person Specification

Knowledge / Experience

  • Ideally from a lease or financial service background
  • Experience of working in a targeted environment and working with tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills – both written and oral
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to handle high workloads without impact on accuracy and quality of work
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Self‐motivated individual with a sense of urgency

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE qualifications grade A‐C
