Operations Co-Ordinator / Administrator

Location: Liverpool
Salary: £26,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Are you looking for a long-term career opportunity within the maritime, shipping and logistics sector?

We are recruiting for an Inspections / Operations Co-Ordinator to join a well-established and growing business based in Liverpool. This opportunity would suit someone with administration, customer service, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain or maritime experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will play a key part in coordinating inspections, managing customer communications, overseeing important documentation and ensuring services are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.

The Role

Working closely with operational teams, customers and inspectors, you will be responsible for coordinating inspection activities, processing reports and certificates, maintaining accurate records and providing exceptional customer service throughout the inspection process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inspections, weighing, sampling and associated activities.
  • Manage inspection appointments from instruction through to completion.
  • Liaise with customers, inspectors and internal stakeholders.
  • Produce and process reports and certificates accurately.
  • Maintain and update databases and internal systems.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service.
  • Support operational and quality improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous administration, coordination or customer service experience.
  • Experience within maritime, shipping, logistics, freight forwarding, transport, supply chain or a similar operational environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional approach.
  • Confidence using computer systems and databases.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A genuine desire to develop and build a long-term career within a growing business.
  • A full UK Driving Licence - Up to 6 Points
