We are working with an established boutique investment management firm looking to hire an Operations Analyst on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Due to the timing of the hire, candidates who are immediately available or able to start at short notice will be prioritised.
About the Role
This is a broad, hands-on operations role supporting the day-to-day running of the investment platform and working closely with Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Finance, and external service providers.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the full trade lifecycle, including trade capture, allocation, confirmation, and settlement
- Monitoring cash, positions, reconciliations, and exception reports
- Investigating and resolving operational breaks, discrepancies, and data issues
- Supporting corporate actions and cash and position controls
- Liaising with custodians, administrators, and other external service providers
- Maintaining accurate operational records and evidence of controls
- Monitoring operational risks, escalating issues where required
- Supporting reporting, data quality, and wider operational controls
- Contributing to improvements across workflows, automation, and operational processes

Requirements
We are looking for someone with relevant experience within investment management operations who is comfortable working in a hands-on environment and managing a varied workload. You should have a good understanding of the investment and trade lifecycle, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external providers.
