Purpose of the Role

To provide operational and underwriting support services that enable the efficient delivery of activities across AEGIS London. The role is responsible for coordinating and overseeing key operational processes, managing service provider queries, supporting data quality and governance activities, and ensuring operational issues are resolved in a timely manner. The role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends, supporting process enhancements and maintaining effective relationships with underwriting teams, outsourced providers and internal stakeholders.

Duties and Accountabilities

  • Triaging, coordinating and monitoring the resolution of outsource service provider queries relating to risk capture, aggregate submissions and critical signings, ensuring timely completion and escalation of issues where required.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, assisting with operational reconciliations, reporting requirements and timely completion of underwriting support processes.
  • Oversee the Operations Management inbox, ensuring queries are appropriately prioritised, allocated, tracked and resolved.
  • Coordinate and monitor aged Data Quality (DQPro) exceptions, ensuring items are routed to the appropriate underwriting teams for investigation and remediation. Maintain supporting reporting, track progress and escalate overdue or material exceptions in accordance with the agreed governance process.
  • Analyse operational and data quality trends to identify recurring issues, root causes and opportunities for process improvement and automation. Proactively support the design, testing and implementation of improvements that reduce manual activity, improve data quality and strengthen operational control effectiveness.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

The successful candidate will be/have:

  • Strong computer literacy, they should have the ability to develop a full understanding and capability of in-house and MS systems including a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.
  • Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent with numerical and analytical ability. Also prepared to study towards Chartered Insurance qualifications.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail and ability to look at the wider picture when problem solving.
  • Confidence with communication and stakeholder management skills.
