Operations Analyst – Bullion & Metals
London | Competitive day rate | Urgent 3-month rolling contract | 5 days in the office
An established global markets business is looking for an experienced Operations Analyst to join its London team on an urgent contract basis.
With plans to expand its bullion business in 2027, the team is particularly keen to hear from candidates with Bullion Operations experience, whether gained recently or earlier in their career.
This is a hands-on role offering broad exposure across bullion, metals and derivatives operations, with regular interaction with the trading desk. It would suit someone who enjoys collaborating in person, solving problems and taking ownership within a busy team.

The role
- Process and check trades across bullion, FX and metals markets.
- Manage bullion confirmations and support unallocated Loco London clearing activities.
- Reconcile trades, positions, cash and margins, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Liaise closely with traders, sales teams, counterparties and clearing brokers.
- Support regulatory reporting and maintain accurate records and operational controls.
About you
- You’ll bring a strong background in trade processing, clearing and reconciliations, ideally within bullion, LME or other derivatives markets.
- Previous bullion experience is a key advantage as the business develops this area.
- Familiarity with Trinity, LME systems and EMIR/MiFIR reporting would also be beneficial.
- You’ll be a confident communicator who enjoys working closely with colleagues, can prioritise time-sensitive tasks and is comfortable taking responsibility for resolving issues.

Contract details
- Initial 3-month rolling contract.
- Competitive day rate.
- London-based, with 5 days in the office.
- Shift rota covering operational hours between 06:30 and 19:30.
- Candidates available immediately or at short notice are encouraged to apply.
