Operations Analytics and Insight Lead

This is an opportunity to lead a high-impact analytics function within a fast-paced, data-driven organisation. Combining hands-on analytics leadership with strategic influence, you will help shape operational decision-making, drive automation initiatives, and play a key role in the development of AI-powered products and processes.

Their analytics function is mature, collaborative, and focused on delivering measurable business impact.

The Role

As the Operations Analytics and Insight Lead, you will combine people leadership, hands-on analysis, and strategic planning to improve operational performance and support business growth.

  • Leading and developing a team of analysts while supporting their technical and professional growth
  • Setting the analytics strategy for operational functions and influencing senior stakeholder decision-making
  • Creating frameworks to measure operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Bringing structure and prioritisation to a reactive analytics environment
  • Delivering hands-on analysis, including experimentation, A/B testing, and statistical evaluation
  • Automating manual reporting and analytical processes to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Supporting AI and chatbot initiatives by developing operational context and performance insight
  • Providing analytics and measurement frameworks for internal AI and copilot tools
  • Working closely with operational leaders to shape roadmaps and prioritise analytical delivery

Your Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial experience leading analytics teams and developing analytical capability
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to remain hands-on in technical delivery
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and translating analysis into business action
  • Strong statistical knowledge, including experimentation and significance testing
  • Experience working within fintech, financial services, or another regulated environment
  • Practical experience using AI tools to improve processes, productivity, or decision-making
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day analytical execution
  • Experience working with analysts and technical data teams such as analytics engineering is advantageous
  • Exposure to operational analytics, customer service analytics, workforce management, process optimisation, or KYC analytics is beneficial
  • Experience with tools such as Looker, dbt, Airflow, and Git is advantageous
