Operations Analytics & Insight Lead
London (3 days hybrid) | £100,000 + Bonus + Benefits

They have invested heavily in data, analytics, and AI, creating a mature analytics environment where insight directly influences strategic decision-making.
The Role
As the Operations Analytics & Insight Lead, you will be responsible for leading operational analytics strategy while remaining close to delivery. This role combines people leadership, stakeholder management, technical analytics, and process improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a team of analysts, supported by analytics engineering resources
- Defining and delivering the analytics roadmap across operational functions
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to prioritise work and influence strategic decisions
- Developing frameworks to measure operational performance, efficiency, and customer outcomes
- Delivering hands-on analysis using SQL, experimentation, and statistical techniques
- Designing and implementing robust measurement methodologies and performance frameworks
- Automating manual reporting and analytical processes to improve scalability
- Supporting AI and automation initiatives through analytics, measurement, and operational insight
- Providing reporting and insight on chatbot, copilot, and AI-enabled operational tools
- Establishing best practices and raising analytical standards across the function

Your Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience leading and developing analytics teams
- Strong commercial experience setting analytics strategy and influencing senior stakeholders
- Advanced SQL skills with the ability to remain hands-on
- Strong statistical knowledge, including experimentation, significance testing, and performance measurement
- Experience translating complex business challenges into actionable analytical solutions
- Practical experience applying AI tools and automation to improve business processes
- Experience operating within regulated industries, financial services, fintech, or similarly complex environments
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

A STEM degree is highly desirable and will be viewed favourably
Desirable experience includes:
- dbt, Airflow, and Git
- Looker, Tableau, or similar BI tools
- Python for analytics or automation
- Workforce management, customer service, contact centre, onboarding, KYC, or operational analytics experience
- Building scalable reporting, automation, and self-service analytics capabilities
