Salary: £39,000 to £55,000, depending on experience

Reporting to: Managing Director

Focus: Developing and managing new portfolio projects

Travel: Regular international travel, including overseas assignments lasting several weeks

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join PendryShed Capital at the centre of our portfolio-building activity. Working directly with the Managing Director, you will help develop, launch and manage a portfolio of ventures across different industries and international markets. You will take ownership of projects from the earliest stages of development through to commercial launch, helping transform ideas into functioning businesses.

No two weeks are likely to be the same. You could spend one week researching a new market opportunity, preparing a launch plan and coordinating suppliers before travelling overseas to meet manufacturers or support the rollout of a new venture. You may find yourself helping negotiate commercial partnerships, solving operational challenges or working alongside founders to accelerate delivery.

This role offers exceptional exposure to entrepreneurship, portfolio development and international business. You will work closely with experienced founders, executives and commercial partners, gaining first-hand experience of how successful businesses are created, launched and scaled.

About PendryShed Capital

PendryShed Capital is a venture development and investment company that creates, launches and grows ambitious businesses across multiple sectors and international markets. Rather than acting solely as an investor, we work alongside founders, partners, suppliers and leadership teams to turn promising ideas into commercially successful businesses. Our work spans creation, product development, operational scaling, strategic partnerships, international expansion and commercial growth.

The Role at a Glance

  • Support the development and launch of new portfolio companies from concept through to commercial operation.
  • Coordinate multiple projects across different sectors and countries simultaneously.
  • Bring structure, accountability and momentum to fast-moving initiatives.
  • Work directly with founders, senior executives, suppliers and strategic partners.
  • Support product development, supplier engagement and international expansion.
  • Research markets, assess commercial opportunities and prepare recommendations.
  • Travel regularly throughout the UK and internationally to support company development.
  • Act as a trusted operational partner to the Managing Director, helping ensure priority projects are delivered successfully.

Key Responsibilities

Project Development

You will play a central role in turning new business ideas into commercially viable companies, supporting projects from initial concept through to launch and ongoing growth. Working alongside the Managing Director, you will help shape delivery plans, coordinate activity and ensure that our portfolio continues to move forward at pace.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
