Green Again London
£27 per hour | Self-employed | Part-time
Approximately 15 hours per week initially
Flexible / predominantly remote | London
Green Again London is a specialist green roof, blue roof and living wall company working across London and the South East.
As the business continues to grow, we are looking for an organised, proactive and environmentally minded person to help manage the operational side of the company.
This isn't intended to be a traditional admin role. We are looking for someone who can initially take responsibility for day-to-day coordination and compliance, but who has the ability and ambition to gradually take on more responsibility for the running of the business.
The aim is to find someone who can grow with Green Again and potentially develop into an Operations Manager role as the company expands.
Initial Responsibilities
The role will include:
- Coordinating subcontractors, maintenance teams and site visits
- Managing the company diary and helping allocate resources across projects
- Liaising with clients, subcontractors and suppliers and ensuring information gets to the right people
- Coordinating site access, permits and project information
- Maintaining subcontractor training and competency records
- Monitoring CSCS, IPAF, PASMA, First Aid and other certification and renewal dates
- Assisting with RAMS and other health & safety documentation
- Maintaining company policies and compliance records
- Helping Green Again achieve and maintain Constructionline, CHAS, SafeContractor and other relevant accreditations
- Assisting with quotations, reports and general client documentation
- Following up outstanding actions and helping ensure jobs progress from enquiry through to completion, reporting and invoicing
- Helping develop better systems and processes as the company grows

Longer-term Opportunity
As you become familiar with the company, our clients and the way we work, we would like the role to develop beyond administration. This could include taking greater responsibility for:
- Day-to-day operations
- Resource and workload planning
- Subcontractor coordination
- Client communication
- Maintenance scheduling
- Compliance and accreditation
- Operational systems
- Supporting tenders and new business opportunities
The long-term aim is for the right person to become a trusted part of the business who can increasingly manage its day-to-day operations, allowing the Director to concentrate on technical consultancy, client relationships, business development and specialist project work.
About You
Experience in construction, facilities management, landscaping, health & safety, compliance or operational coordination would be particularly useful.
You don't need to be a green roof expert — that's our job — but an understanding of or genuine interest in horticulture, biodiversity, green infrastructure, sustainable construction and the climate emergency is important to us.
We're particularly interested in someone who:
- Is exceptionally organised
- Enjoys coordinating people and solving problems
- Is confident dealing directly with clients and contractors
- Can work independently without needing constant direction
- Is comfortable taking ownership of tasks
- Understands the importance of good health & safety and compliance
- Is confident using digital systems and willing to help improve the way we operate
- Wants to become an important part of a small but growing specialist business

Working Arrangement
The role will initially be approximately 15 hours per week at £27 per hour on a self-employed basis.
Hours can be flexible and much of the role can be carried out remotely, although being within reasonable travelling distance of London would be advantageous for occasional meetings or site visits.
There is scope for both the hours and level of responsibility to increase as the company develops.
