Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to work closely with the Group Operations Director to provide senior-level capacity, insight, and delivery support across priority operational matters. The role is designed for someone who can be deployed quickly into defined areas of work, establish the facts, understand the root causes of issues, develop practical recommendations, and then lead or support implementation through to completion.
As our Operations and Delivery Lead, you will typically:
- Undertake structured reviews of specific operational areas, processes, issues, or opportunities as directed by the Group Operations Director
- Gather, test, and analyze information from systems, documentation, stakeholder interviews, performance data, and operational observation
- Identify root causes, constraints, dependencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
- Develop recommendations, implementation plans, and decision papers for senior review
- Lead or support implementation of agreed solutions, ensuring actions are owned, tracked, and delivered
- Produce simple delivery plans, action logs, status updates, and escalation points as required
- Ensure implemented changes are embedded, understood, and capable of being sustained by the relevant business area
- Provide flexible senior support on priority initiatives, operational pressures, remediation activity, or business improvement work
- Maintain a strong understanding of operational performance, service standards, risks, and improvement priorities

Requirements
What we are looking for in our ideal Operations and Delivery Lead:
- Ability to diagnose operational issues, analyze information, and convert findings into action
- Understanding of operational controls, process improvement, risk management, and service delivery
- Financial services, wealth management, or regulated environment experience would be advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues
- Excellent written communication, including concise briefing notes, recommendations, and executive summaries
- Confident verbal communication and the ability to ask effective questions during fact-finding
- Strong planning, prioritization, and delivery discipline
- Commercial awareness and sound judgment when balancing risk, cost, service, and practicality
- Ability to build trust quickly with stakeholders at different levels of the organization
