About Beyond Procurement
Beyond Procurement is a growing UK consultancy helping organisations reduce cost, carbon and commercial risk. Alongside our established consultancy services, we are developing new sustainability, technology and partnership-led growth opportunities and are now looking for an experienced person to help us execute the next stage of our growth.
The Role
We are looking for an exceptional Operations & Growth Manager to work directly with the CEO as a senior, hands-on member of the business. This is a broad role for someone who can combine strategic thinking, project management, commercial awareness and execution. You will help turn ideas and opportunities into structured plans, drive projects through to completion, coordinate internal and external resources and ensure important opportunities are properly followed through.
Crucially, we want someone confident enough to question, challenge and improve our thinking, rather than simply follow instructions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience in sustainability, procurement or local government would be useful but is not essential.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first few months, you should have taken meaningful operational workload away from the CEO, established greater control over key projects and priorities, improved coordination across the business and helped accelerate our growth initiatives.
We are looking for someone who can be given an important objective, work out how to achieve it, challenge the approach where necessary, coordinate the people involved and make sure it gets done.
For the right person, there is significant scope for the role and responsibility to grow as the business develops.
