Operations Executive | Urgent Contract Hire | Harwell, Oxfordshire | £50k-60k p/a FTE | Deep tech startup

Immediate interview | Immediate start preferred | Initial 3-month contract

We’re urgently looking for an Operations Executive / Operations Coordinator to join a growing technology business based in Harwell, Oxfordshire.

This is initially a short-term contract of approximately 3 months, with the possibility of extension depending on business requirements. The priority is finding someone who can start quickly, get organised and take care of the day-to-day operational workload without needing lots of hand-holding.

You do not need to tick every box or come from a highly specialised operations background.

We’re looking for a capable generalist who is comfortable getting stuck into a mixture of:

  • General business and operations administration
  • Keeping tasks, actions and deadlines on track
  • Scheduling meetings and coordinating diaries
  • Preparing meeting notes, trackers and status updates
  • Supplier liaison, purchasing and chasing orders
  • Processing invoices, expenses and purchase orders
  • Basic finance and accounting administration
  • Recruitment interview scheduling and candidate administration
  • Employee onboarding, documentation and HR administration
  • Maintaining records, files and internal documentation
  • Office, facilities and general workplace coordination
  • Supporting senior management with whatever needs sorting out

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
