Doing Good Recruitment is proud to be partnering with Cornerstone Place on the appointment of an Operations and Project Coordinator.

At Cornerstone Place

We are seeking an exceptional Operations and Project Coordinator to join our growing team at an exciting stage of our development. This is a rare opportunity to work directly alongside our Co-Founders, helping to build and scale a multi-award-winning social enterprise tackling one of the UK's most urgent social challenges: the shortage of genuinely affordable homes for people in the greatest housing need.

The role is offered on a permanent basis, with flexible remote working and occasional travel for partner meetings, site visits, and sector events across England.

Who We Are

Cornerstone Place is a multi-award-winning social enterprise with a bold ambition to transform how social housing is delivered in the UK.

  • We exist because too many people lack access to safe, stable, and affordable homes.
  • Through our Impact First Social Housing® model, we create 100% social housing with 0% profit, ensuring homes and the long-term value they generate remain focused on social impact rather than financial extraction.
  • Working in partnership with local authorities, charities, and asset-locked housing providers, we develop homes that are environmentally sustainable, designed for long-term community benefit, and built to support the people who need them most.
  • As we enter our next phase of growth, we are looking for someone who wants to help build an organisation capable of creating lasting systemic change.

The Role

Working closely with both Co-Founders, the Operations and Project Coordinator will play a key and highly varied role across strategy, project development, partnerships, operations, and organisational growth.

  • You will help progress new housing projects, support strategic partnerships, conduct research and analysis, contribute to thought leadership activity, and assist in developing the systems and processes that enable Cornerstone Place to scale its impact.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is not a traditional support role. It is an opportunity to become a key contributor within a small and entrepreneurial organisation, gaining first-hand experience of how a mission-led organisation is built while helping drive meaningful work forward.

Day-to-day, you might be:

  • Researching a new housing opportunity
  • Preparing briefing materials for local authority partners
  • Supporting partnership development
  • Analysing policy changes affecting the sector
  • Attending meetings with stakeholders
  • Helping design and improve the internal systems and AI-enabled tools that support our work

As your experience grows, you will be encouraged to take ownership of projects and workstreams, helping turn ideas into action and strategy into measurable impact.

We understand that the areas of focus are somewhat unique to Cornerstone Place and that finding someone with direct experience across all elements of the role is unlikely. As well as appropriate experience, we will also be evaluating applicants based on a wider set of criteria. We are looking for someone with values aligned to ours, a demonstrable ability to learn and implement new skills, the right attitude, and a desire to get behind our mission. Your supporting letter (see below) will be critical in this regard.

About You

You are intellectually curious, highly organised, and motivated by the opportunity to tackle complex social challenges.

You enjoy moving between strategic thinking and practical execution, are comfortable working in environments where priorities evolve, and are proactive in identifying ways to create progress and solve problems.

We are particularly interested in people who demonstrate:

  • Are motivated by creating meaningful social impact
  • Enjoy learning quickly and adapt rapidly and apply new knowledge effectively.
  • Can improve workflows and identify practical solutions.
  • Can communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Use technology confidently to improve efficiency, insight, and decision-making

Our Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Cornerstone Place is committed to equitable and inclusive recruitment. We actively welcome applications from all sections of the community, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, sexuality, or socio-economic background.

We believe diverse perspectives help create better solutions to complex social challenges and strengthen our ability to deliver meaningful impact.

We recognise that great candidates do not always meet every requirement listed in a job description. If this opportunity excites you and you believe you could contribute to our mission, we encourage you to apply.
