Operations Assistant
DNO Renewables is a fast-growing UK grid connection consultancy serving solar PV and renewable energy installers nationwide. We handle G98/G99 applications, SLDs, commissioning, and full DNO application management.
We're looking for an Operations Assistant to work directly with our Head of Operations, Shona, and keep the engine running smoothly behind the scenes.
Reporting to: Head of Operations
The role:
- Process and submit DNO application paperwork with accuracy and attention to detail
- Manage client documentation, project files, and records
- Coordinate between installers, DNOs, and internal teams to keep applications moving
- Handle invoicing, data entry, and day-to-day admin
- Support the sales team with lead tracking and CRM updates
- Manage incoming enquiries and initial client communication
- Help build and improve internal processes as we scale

What we're looking for:
- Strong admin and organisational skills, you thrive on structure and detail
- Experience in DNO applications (bonus but not required)
- Accuracy is critical in this work; we need someone who gets it right first time
- Comfortable with systems, spreadsheets, and learning new tools
- Interest in renewables or willingness to learn the industry
- Self-starter who can work independently and take ownership
- Previous office/admin experience essential
- Experience in a similar industry (renewables, construction, trade services) a bonus but not required
