Operations Assistant – Citizen Services (Sport England)
Location: Bisham Abbey, Marlow, SL7 1RR Salary: £12.71 per hour + outstanding benefits Hours: Full-time (39 hours per week), flexible scheduling (Monday to Sunday)
About the Role
Ready to make a real impact? As an Operations Assistant in our Citizen Services – Sport England team, you’ll ensure our facilities run safely, smoothly, and with a customer-first attitude. Your dedication will support the delivery of sport, leisure, hotel, and event services—making a meaningful difference in local communities.
You’ll contribute to a welcoming, safe, and well-managed environment, from operational readiness to maintaining immaculate facilities needed for unforgettable experiences.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be entrusted with:
- Cleaning scheduled areas of the site
- Supporting the housekeeping team by maintaining bedroom and general cleanliness
- Managing a daily task list and upholding a high standard of cleanliness throughout shifts
- Adhering to instructions from line managers to ensure smooth operations
- Assisting in facility maintenance to ensure they remain fit for purpose

Requirements & Skills
This role is an excellent fit if you have:
✓ Strong customer care skills and a keen eye for detail ✓ Effective communication and confidence when interacting with colleagues and visitors ✓ Good planning skills and exceptional time management ✓ Practical experience in roles such as cleaning, catering, receptionist, or housekeeping
