Role Description
The Operations Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Amersham. This role supports the smooth day-to-day running of magazine production and distribution, including maintaining schedules, coordinating with printers and delivery partners, and updating internal records and databases. The Operations Assistant helps manage incoming enquiries from advertisers and readers, prepares basic reports, and ensures accurate information is communicated across the team. Responsibilities also include general administrative support, document preparation, data entry, and assisting with quality checks on content and distribution lists. The role works closely with the operations and editorial teams to help deliver publications on time and to high standards.

Qualifications

- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, and basic database use) and comfortable working with digital files.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for liaising with internal teams, advertisers, and external partners.
- Attention to detail for data entry, record keeping, and checking schedules, proofs, and distribution information.
- Experience in administrative, operations support, or office coordination roles is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, fast-moving team in an on-site environment.
- Interest in local media, publishing, or marketing and familiarity with local community dynamics is an advantage.
- Relevant education or training in business administration, operations, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
