G MASS is collaborating with a prominent Lloyd's Managing Agency to hire an Operations Assistant for their Syndicate Operations team. This position is integral to a dynamic operational function that supports Underwriters daily, encompassing risk entry, data quality checks, and the management of signing and claims messages.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals at the beginning of their Lloyd's market career to gain extensive experience in risk processing, underwriting support, and the broader London Market, while progressing towards a recognized industry qualification.

Please note that this position is based in London.

  • Enter risk and aggregate data into underwriting systems accurately and within agreed timeframes
  • Conduct quality checks on risk data, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and escalating issues as necessary
  • Process USM and SCM messages, addressing failures or exceptions to maintain compliance with SLAs
  • Serve as a liaison for Underwriters, facilitating smooth transactions and prompt resolution of queries
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders to monitor SLAs and team objectives
  • Propose enhancements for accuracy and efficiency within existing processes
  • Develop relationships across Underwriting and Operations, establishing yourself as a reliable resource for daily inquiries

Requirements

  • Comprehensive understanding of Lloyd's syndicate operations and the associated processes
  • Knowledge of delegated authority versus open market business, and their operational and contractual distinctions
  • Familiarity with London Market platforms like PPL or Whitespace
  • Keen attention to detail and a proven record of precision
  • Organizational skills, with experience managing deadlines independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills, adept at interacting with colleagues and external contacts
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
