The Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic Operations Assistant to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a central role in supporting operational activities, coordinating training, and providing essential administrative support to managers and colleagues across the area.

As the key liaison between the Training team, managers, and operational staff, you'll help ensure training programmes run efficiently, compliance records are maintained, and day-to-day business activities are delivered seamlessly.

What You'll Be Doing

No two days will be the same in this varied and rewarding role. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating training activities, ensuring colleagues are notified of courses and bookings are completed accurately.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for training-related queries, attendance issues, sickness absence, and venue support.
  • Supporting Health & Safety administration and maintaining statutory compliance records.
  • Assisting with journals, accruals, capital timesheets, and financial reporting activities.
  • Providing administrative support to the Area Management Team and local managers.
  • Maintaining databases, monitoring deliveries, and managing spare parts records.
  • Ordering and tracking PPE, tools, equipment, stationery, and office supplies.
  • Raising purchase orders and supporting operational teams with procurement requests.
  • Organising meetings, briefings, presentations, team events, Open Days, and Away Days.
  • Keeping department contact information, site records, and telephone lists up to date.
  • Managing staff ID and hygiene card records.
  • Supporting internal communications and producing briefing notes and presentations.
  • Providing cover for colleagues during periods of absence or vacancy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
