Operations Associate at Paid
📍 London, UK (5 days/week in the office)
About Paid
At Paid, we're building the monetisation engine for AI. As companies build AI products and AI agents, they face three fundamental questions:
- How much does my AI actually cost to run?
- How much value is it creating for my customers?
- How should I price and bill for it profitably?
Paid brings all of that together. We help companies track AI costs, measure the value their AI delivers, and price and bill AI profitably. We're backed by some of the world's leading investors, including Lightspeed Ventures, Sequoia and EQT Ventures, and work with some of the most ambitious AI companies globally.
Why this role is different
This isn't a traditional Operations role. You'll work directly with our Head of Operations, helping build the operational foundations that allow Paid to scale.
From AI automation and company building to finance, compliance, hiring and international expansion, you'll get exposure to almost every operational function inside a fast-growing startup.
You'll see how decisions are made, how problems are solved, and what it actually takes to build a company from the ground up.
If you're curious, love learning, and want a role where you'll grow incredibly quickly, you'll fit right in.
What you'll do
No two weeks will look the same. You'll work directly with our Head of Operations and get involved wherever the business needs you most. Some of the things you'll work on include:
- 🤖 Build AI-powered workflows and automations to eliminate repetitive work and help the business move faster.
- 🚀 Help build the operational foundations of Paid—from creating new processes to improving existing ones as we scale.
- 🌍 Keep our offices in London, Barcelona and San Francisco running smoothly (London in person, Barcelona and San Francisco remotely).
- ✈️ Coordinate founder travel and provide light calendar support for our CEO when needed.
- 💳 Work closely with our external accountants to keep expense management and operational finance running smoothly.
- 🛡️ Support compliance initiatives, including preparing evidence for SOC 2 and maintaining operational documentation.
- 👋 Deliver a world-class onboarding experience for every new joiner, support offboarding, and coordinate visa and sponsorship processes.
- 🎉 Organise team events and offsites that bring our global team together and strengthen our culture.
- 🗂️ Keep our internal documentation, databases and operational playbooks organised and up to date.
- 🖥️ Manage office equipment, supplies, snacks and everything else that keeps our offices running smoothly.
- 📑 Help manage company insurance and other operational vendors.
- 💬 Be the go-to person for helping the team with day-to-day operational questions.
- ⚡ Take ownership of whatever the business needs next. Startups move fast, and so will you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
