Coopman Search and Selection are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a leading global hedge fund with a strong track record across global financial markets and investment strategies.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Operations professional with 1–3 years' experience to join an established and highly sophisticated investment business.
Reporting directly to the Head of Ops in London, you will be part of a collaborative Operations function with responsibility across trade support, settlements, reconciliations and the wider trade lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day trade support across the full trade lifecycle.
- Perform cash, position and trade reconciliations, investigating and resolving breaks.
- Support the timely settlement of trades across global markets.
- Investigate failed and unmatched trades, liaising with brokers, custodians and counterparties.
- Work closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders and internal teams to resolve operational queries.
- Maintain accurate trade and operational records and support wider Operations projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and controls.

Experience Required:
- 1–3 years' experience in investment operations, middle office, trade support, settlements or a similar financial services role.
- Experience with reconciliations, settlements and/or trade support.
- Good understanding of the trade lifecycle and financial markets.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with internal teams and external counterparties.
- Good Excel skills; experience with Eze or other OMS/EMS and reconciliation systems would be beneficial.
- Proactive, analytical and keen to develop a career within a hedge fund environment.
