Operations Associate — Mandarin Speaking

London (on-site), Full-time

London Export Corporation: LEC Robotics, LEC Beverages, LEC AI, 48 Group

ABOUT US

LEC is a fast-growing London group spanning four businesses: robotics distribution and deployments, beverage distribution with exclusive Tsingtao partnerships, our own AI products, and UK-China trade. Operations is the engine of this group. It runs through every company, and our operations people get plugged into different businesses and tasks as priorities shift. One week it's a robotics deployment, the next it's a beverage shipment, the next it's an event. You need to love that.

THE ROLE

This is a doer role. Pure execution. You get given things and you get them done: fast, properly, without needing to be chased. You push, chase, follow up and close out, every day, across whichever business needs you.

A core part of the job is the China side. You'll communicate daily with our Chinese suppliers, manufacturers and partners in Mandarin, chasing orders, confirming details, solving problems and keeping everything moving, while moving just as fast on the ground in the UK.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is a scale-up, not a corporate job. Nothing is handed to you, and this is not a work-life balance role. It's a role for someone hungry: someone who wants to prove themselves, grow quickly, and push into senior roles as the group scales. The people who get things done here go up fast.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Execute across the group: tasks, projects and problems across robotics, beverages, AI and trade. Whatever the priority is, you're on it
  • China communication: daily Mandarin liaison with suppliers, manufacturers and partners covering orders, shipments, specs and problem-solving
  • Chase everything: follow up relentlessly until things are closed. Nothing gets left behind on your watch
  • Keep it organised: trackers, lists, updates. Everyone always knows where things stand because you keep it that way
  • Support deployments and events: hands-on help getting robotics deployments, client projects and showcase events over the line
  • Fix what's stuck: spot problems early, flag them, solve them. Don't wait to be told

  • Full professional fluency in English and Mandarin. You'll use both every day
  • A proper doer: your instinct is to act, not to schedule a meeting about it

  • Hungry: you want growth, responsibility and a senior seat in the future, and you're ready to earn it
  • Comfortable with variety: happy being plugged into different companies and completely different tasks week to week

OUR PROCESS
