A look into the role

Henderson Wholesale is a leading Wholesaler in Northern Ireland and supplies goods to over 500 stores across various brands such as SPAR, EUROSPAR and VIVO. We source from local farmers, growers and producers and are proud to contribute to our local economy and environment.

The purpose of the role:

This role will enable effective Trading decision-making and operational excellence through robust reporting, strong data governance, clear process design, and the successful transition of new technology into business-as-usual.

As the Operations & Change Coordinator – Trading, your key responsibilities will include:

Commercial Insight & Reporting

  • Produce clear, business-focused reports and presentations highlighting key drivers, risks, opportunities, and performance trends.
  • Identify data issues, trends, and improvement opportunities, providing proactive analysis and recommendations.

Business Improvement & Change Delivery

  • Identify and support improvements to processes, reporting, and data usage across Trading operations.
  • Work with IT, Data, and external partners to support system and process changes.
  • Support testing, validation, and transition of new systems into business-as-usual operations.
  • Promote adoption of new processes, technologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Process Design & Documentation

  • Document and map current and future Trading processes to improve clarity, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Maintain process documentation to support training, governance, and operational continuity.

Training & User Support

  • Deliver training and ongoing support during system and process changes.
  • Act as a key contact for resolving user issues and supporting adoption of new tools and processes.

Data Governance & Integrity

  • Ensure Trading data is accurate, consistent, compliant, and effectively managed.
  • Promote strong data quality, ownership, and governance practices.

Stakeholder Management

  • Build effective relationships across Trading, IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and Data teams.
  • Act as a link between operational and technical teams to ensure clear communication and aligned requirements.

Systems & BAU Support

  • Provide first-line support and maintenance as a SharePoint and Portal Super User.
  • Monitor tasks, resolve system issues, manage enhancements, and support ongoing operational stability and continuous improvement.

Skills for Success

Joining us as Operations & Change Co-Ordinator - Trading the minimum criteria you’ll need is:

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Experience contributing to process improvements, business change initiatives, or system implementations.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large data sets and using functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, and Pivot Tables.
  • Full, clean UK/EU driving license with access to your own vehicle

The Attributes you’ll need include:

  • Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to explain information clearly and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Positive and adaptable mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Well organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Able to work independently, take initiative, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Capable of supporting and guiding others through change and new ways of working.

It is Desirable if you have:

  • Experience working in a Trading, Commercial, Retail, Supply Chain, or Finance environment, with understanding of end-to-end business processes.
  • Experience supporting system or process transitions into Business-as-Usual (BAU), including testing, rollout, or adoption activities.
  • Experience acting as a system super user, first-line support contact, or subject matter expert for business applications.
  • Understanding or exposure to data governance, data quality management, or control and compliance frameworks.

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday. Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.
