Role overview

As an Operations Consultant you will support operational improvement initiatives across Link Financial Group's European businesses. This role is suited to a highly numerate and analytical individual with strong Excel skills, experience in business analysis and process reengineering who has a desire to develop a career in operational efficiency within financial services.

The successful candidate will work closely with each local operation, our tech partners and all business stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, support delivery and contribute to operational excellence across the Group.

Key responsibilities

Operational analysis and business improvement

  • Support operational reviews across the Group’s businesses, driving continuous improvement through analysis and recommendations to improve efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Analyse operational, process and financial performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
  • Gather, document and validate business requirements for technology-related initiatives.
  • Assist with process mapping, root cause analysis and the development of business cases for change.

Project and delivery management

  • Manage the delivery of operational improvement initiatives.
  • Track actions, risks, issues and milestones.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops and stakeholder communications.
  • Assist with testing, implementation and rollout activities for operational and system changes.

Stakeholder engagement

  • Work collaboratively with operations, business leaders, IT teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Build strong working relationships across different countries and business functions.
  • Present recommendations in a clear and professional manner.
  • Support knowledge sharing and consistency of working practices across the Group.

Key skills

Business analysis

  • Knowledge of business analysis techniques including requirements gathering, process mapping and problem solving.
  • Strong critical thinking and structured approach to analysing issues.
  • Enthusiasm for learning about automation, artificial intelligence and process improvement technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.

Numeracy and data analysis

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational and financial data and present with confidence.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, including modelling, data manipulation and reporting.
  • Able to draw meaningful insight from data and translate it into clear operational recommendations.

Candidate requirements

Essential

  • Experience in a business analyst, operational analyst, consultancy or similar analytical role.
  • Organised and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Excellent numerical and problem-solving capability.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Proactive approach and willing to learn.
  • Degree educated or equivalent relevant experience.

Desirable

  • Experience within financial services, banking, credit servicing, debt purchase, collections, lending or other regulated environments.
  • Previous exposure to operational improvement initiatives.
  • Additional European language.
