Working closely with the Commercial, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, you will play a key role in identifying commercial opportunities, mitigating financial risks, improving governance, and driving continuous improvement across a range of business processes.

A key focus of the position will be to protect business profitability, improve revenue recovery, identify operational and commercial efficiencies, and reduce unnecessary expenditure.

  • Analyse large volumes of data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities where changes to processes, behaviours, or controls will improve revenue, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic insight and recommendations to support revenue protection, cost control, and contract performance.
  • Support cost recovery and revenue assurance activities by identifying missed revenue opportunities and assisting with their recovery.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and performance metrics to improve business visibility and decision-making.
  • Communicate with stakeholders involved in contract delivery to ensure financial and commercial processes are understood and consistently applied.
  • Create supporting documentation, process maps, guidance notes, and reference materials to improve understanding and compliance.
  • Produce transactional spend reporting, including analysis of spend trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Produce billing and performance reporting to support accurate client invoicing and revenue recovery processes.
  • Monitor financial and operational KPIs, providing commentary and recommendations where required.
  • Support department leaders in identifying opportunities to improve data quality, purchase order accuracy, and commercial governance processes.
  • Support the development and implementation of operationally sound and commercially aware processes across the business.
  • Review and assess implemented changes to determine their effectiveness and identify further improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and validate spend activity, ensuring agreed approval and governance processes are followed.
  • Support governance activities through the maintenance of trackers, action logs, reporting packs, and management information.
  • Identify control weaknesses, process gaps, and commercial risks, and support corrective action plans.
  • Represent the department during the mobilisation of new contracts and agreements as part of the mobilisation team.
  • Work proactively with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues and prevent escalation.
  • Support the department in achieving internal KPIs, objectives, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly to requests and instructions while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Support training and knowledge-sharing activities across the business where required.
  • Follow company policies and procedures and actively contribute to the delivery of company and departmental objectives.
  • Undertake ad hoc duties in line with business requirements.
  • Represent the business in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in a compliant, ethical, and best-practice manner.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
