Astute’s Power team is partnering with a leading Energy company in the UK to recruit an Operations Coordinator to join its CCGT power station in North Lincolnshire.
The Operations Coordinator role comes with a starting salary of up to £75,000 + benefits including bonus and medical insurance.

Responsibilities and duties of the Operations Coordinator role
Reporting To The Operations Manager You Will
- Support the Operations Manager and O&M Manager in the safe, compliant and efficient operation of the station, ensuring adherence to business policies and statutory requirements.
- Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve plant availability, efficiency and commercial performance.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation, supporting site safety management and the implementation of station policies.
- Liaise with the Commercial Team and National Grid to ensure compliance with electricity market obligations, private supply agreements and relevant REMIT requirements.
- Coordinate weekly operational and maintenance work plans, working closely with Maintenance, Engineering and Production Team Leaders to align resources and priorities.
- Support the delivery of outages, including production activities and Safety Rules requirements, while working towards appropriate site safety authorisations.
- Provide day-to-day operational support to shift teams, assisting with fault investigations, plant diagnostics and the development of improved operating practices.
- Coordinate contractor activities, acting as Work Sponsor when required and ensuring work is completed safely and in accordance with site requirements.
- Manage operational staffing requirements, including shift rota coordination, departmental cover and the fair distribution of additional working hours.
- Deputise for the Operations Manager when required, supporting wider site management, staff development, operational strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.

Professional Qualifications
- Ideally degree qualified in an engineering, operations or technical discipline, or currently working towards one, with a HNC as a minimum qualification.
- Significant experience operating and maintaining large generating plant or working within a comparable process industry environment.
- Experience managing people, supporting teams through change and coordinating operational activities across multiple disciplines.
- Experience working within a Safety Rules-based system, with a strong understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation. Relevant safety, environmental or leadership qualifications are desirable.
