About Us

MSS is a specialist materials testing business providing high-quality site and laboratory testing services to clients across the construction, infrastructure and civil engineering sectors.

Working on projects of all sizes, we support contractors, developers and engineers with reliable testing, technical expertise and responsive service. Our experienced team plays a vital role in helping clients maintain quality, safety and compliance throughout the construction process.

Part of the Celnor Group

Celnor Group is a UK-based environmental services group operating across the Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) landscape. With a growing portfolio of specialist businesses, Celnor provides essential services that protect people, property and the environment.

While each business retains its own identity, culture and technical specialism, all are supported by a central group function that invests in people, systems and long-term sustainable growth.

About The Role

We are seeking an organised, proactive and commercially minded Operations Co-ordinator to join our team in Derby.

This is a key role within the business, responsible for the day-to-day coordination of our field operations and acting as a central point of contact between customers, site technicians and management. Working in a fast-paced office environment, you will manage changing priorities, support operational delivery and help ensure our customers receive an excellent service.

The role would suit someone from a materials testing, construction, highways, civil engineering or similar field-service environment who is comfortable managing multiple tasks, building customer relationships and taking ownership of operational activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
