We are a Derby-based security company with over 30 years combined experience in the industry. We provide security services across the East Midlands, ranging from static sites, gatehouse duties, and patrols to events and festivals.
About the Role
We are looking for a hard-working, organised, and experienced security professional to join us as an Operations Coordinator and support the day-to-day running of NVC Security.
This is a hands-on role combining designated office work, site visits, customer checks, and frontline security shifts. You will support our officers, maintain strong relationships with customers, and help ensure our services are delivered to a high standard.
You will work 06:00–18:00 on a four-on, four-off rota, including weekends and bank holidays as the rota falls. You must be willing to work frontline shifts as well as office and site-based duties, and take part in the on-call manager rota. Overtime is available.
What Will I Be Doing
- Coordinate day-to-day operations, monitor attendance and shift coverage, and help arrange cover for absences or changing requirements.
- Work frontline security shifts, including planned duties and operational cover, setting a professional example for other officers.
- Carry out site visits, staff welfare checks, and service checks to confirm that officers have the information, equipment, and support they need.
- Complete customer checks and check-ins, build relationships with clients and their staff, and follow up feedback or concerns through to resolution.
- Complete designated office work, including rotas, operational records, site reports, incident logs, emails, and telephone enquiries.
- Take part in the on-call manager rota, responding to urgent staffing issues, incidents, and customer queries, and escalating matters when needed.
- Provide clear handovers, follow company and site procedures, and report safety concerns or issues affecting service delivery.

What Are We Looking For
- You should have a customer-focused approach, a positive attitude towards work, and the ability to work as part of a team with other officers.
- Building strong relationships with our clients’ staff and members of the public is important.
- A key requirement for working at NVC is your ability to work effectively in teams and develop strong team loyalty.
- Applicants must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard licence.
- At least three years of experience in a security role is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be given.
- Experience in supervision, operations coordination, rota planning, or supporting officers across multiple sites would be an advantage.
- You must be willing and able to work 06:00–18:00 on the four-on, four-off rota, including weekends and bank holidays as scheduled, and participate in the on-call manager rota.
- A flexible, hands-on approach is essential, including willingness to work frontline shifts alongside office duties, site visits, and customer checks.
- Strong organisational skills are required, with the ability to prioritise tasks and respond calmly to changing operational needs.
- Basic knowledge of using a smartphone or tablet is preferred. Confidence using email, spreadsheets, and operational systems would be an advantage.
- Good communication skills and the highest level of professionalism are essential. You must be able to use your own initiative and work independently.
- You will need a checkable work or education history for the previous five years and must be fluent in written and spoken English.

Salary
32500 - 32501 GBP Per annum
